Want to learn more about Mohawk Group’s hospitality carpet solutions? This month we are covering four of our most popular carpet constructions used in hospitality spaces. First up is Definity, which offers sustainable luxury through precision sculpting technology. This tufting technique produces high definition of multilevel textures, pattern, and color that rivals high-end Axminster carpets, yet is made in the USA for better lead times, durability, and cost. Definity construction is also highly sustainable, as it’s beyond carbon neutral and uses a significantly smaller number of resources than comparable wool carpet. We use our Colorstrand Solution Dyed Nylon for colorfastness and access to a large color palette, with up to 24 color values in one design! This allows for rich patterns and distinct designs, all customizable. The tufting also allows for both cut and loop fiber at varying heights and sizes, so there is a fuller range of dimensional texture. We also achieve twice as many tufts per square inch than Axminster, for clarity and detail that make hospitality spaces come alive. Definity is available in Broadloom and Area Rugs, in face weights up to 60 oz for plush comfort underfoot.
