The Rudy Miller Instrument Safety Currency Program (ISCP) at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, College of Aviation, Prescott Campus, was created and funded by Mr. Miller in 2023, with students receiving simulator time starting in Spring 2024. The ISCP was created to build a curriculum that is compliant with federal instrument currency regulations. Embry-Riddle’s training experts completed that curriculum, which was then reviewed and validated by Embry-Riddle’s Chief Instructor, Ryan Albrecht. Once the process was completed and approved, the curriculum was uploaded to the flight systems for logging and tracking activity. Congrats to the ISCP Spring 2024 recipients: Christopher Gurule, Kaleo Mendoza, Joseph Molitor, and Reza Parva

The DEF CON hacker convention, which is organized into “villages” that focus on various cybersecurity topics, brought together some 40,000 attendees. At its different villages, the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University students networked with government and industry professionals, and attended workshops on the latest cybersecurity trends, including those related to engineering, aviation and aerospace. “As the capabilities of technology evolve, the boundaries between industries will blur,” said Air Traffic Management Assistant Professor Kyle Wilkerson. The event “provides our students with new opportunities to collaborate with other industry professionals outside the traditional relationships we have historically known.” Read more here ➡ https://lnkd.in/eaJDb4S6
