Yesterday, over 8,000 students from across Harris Academies joined us remotely for our annual Next Steps event. A massive thank you to all our alumni who joined in to share their experiences- our students loved your input and advice! 🙌 A big thank you to Travis, Noor, and Adama for leading the tech talk, Ejeoma, Gisel, and Pratik for sharing insights into healthcare and veterinary careers, and Francis from Deloitte for giving us a real look into the industry ✨ It was fantastic to see so many students exploring different options- we're always thankful to former students for giving back to the next generation 💫

What does it really take to build a business from the ground up? 🤔 Yesterday, we were lucky enough to have two incredible former Harris City Academy Crystal Palace students back with us- 2019 Apprentice winner, Carina Lepore and successful property developer, Kazeem Alli-Balogun. They shared an honest look at what it truly takes to be an entrepreneur. From the daily challenges, to the mindset needed for success- their advice was practical, honest, and hugely inspirational. It’s great for current students to hear from such relatable role models- we’re excited to see what the next generation of entrepreneurs will achieve 💫

It was great to see former Harris Academy Peckham student Nadine Rose Johnson on stage at Harris Beulah Hill today, performing as Juliet in a hip-hop retelling of Romeo & Juliet as part of the play's current tour 🎭 Her performance was a powerful reminder to our students that the arts are for everyone.
