Today, I had the pleasure to attend the roundtable on the topic of Europe’s industrial strategy at European Mobility Expo in Strasbourg.   The perfect opportunity, as chairperson of ACEA bus and coach division, to highlight once again the big challenges our industry is facing. Buses and coaches already deliver a significant contribution to people mobility in Europe with the lowest carbon footprint per passenger. However, Bus and coach manufacturers cannot act alone. I strongly believe that the solution to win the ‘decarbonization game’ is a collective one.   The key priorities we need to address, are:   🔹 Advocate for policy makers’ requirements to be coherent across the whole industrial value chain and across the European Union   🔹 Ensure that public and private stakeholders are in financial capability to sustain the speed of change   The energy transition journey is driving huge transformation in our business models. That’s why, as industry, we are convinced that the decarbonization goals in mobility and transport can only be achieved by offering public transport authorities and operators a complete range of multi-energy vehicles ensuring a full technology neutrality. Following last year’s announcement confirming IVECO BUS as the main supplier of school buses for Brazil’s National School Development Fund (FNDE), we are proud to celebrate a major milestone in Brazil this week : 🥇the first 1,500 school buses for Brazilian school transport program "Caminho da Escola" have been delivered!   On this occasion, our IVECO BUS President Domenico Nucera met with Geraldo Alckmin, the Brazilian Vice-President and Minister of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services and Fernanda Macedo Pacobahyba, President of the FNDE, to discuss the significant investments made in #technology and #innovation to boost the evolution of the bus sector in the Brazilian market. It was also a great opportunity to highlight our commitments to transition to carbon neutrality and our leadership in new alternative propulsion such as #electric and #hydrogen. 🚌 Hydrogen-Powered Mobility Gains Momentum in Lorient!   IVECO BUS is thrilled to announce a major win for sustainable transportation in Lorient, France. 🇫🇷   Cap l'Orient agglomération has chosen IVECO BUS for its hydrogen bus fleet with up to 19 units on order. The first 5 vehicles, our GX 337 H2 LINIUM BRT buses, will hit the roads of Lorient's IziLo Mobilités network in the second half of 2025. 🚍   Giorgio Zino, Head of IVECO BUS Europe Commercial Operations added: "With its high level of performance, our GX 337 H2 LINIUM BRT will fully meet the challenges of decarbonized mobility. 🇫🇷 Great success in France for our hydrogen buses! We are proud to announce the signing of a major agreement with the city of #Cannes for the supply of twelve GX 337 H2. These new zero-emission BRT buses will extend the fleet of GX ELEC buses already in operation and take the Cannes Lérins Urban Community into a new phase with the adoption of hydrogen technology : 0️⃣ Zero emissions ⌛ Up to 450km autonomy 🧑🤝🧑 Capacity up to 110 passengers. Exciting day at IVECO BUS 🚍 During his visit to the Pardubice Region, the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Petr Fiala, joined us at our Vysoké Mýto plant. He delved into our company's rich history, witnessed the continuous success of our Crossway Intercity vehicle, and caught a glimpse of the innovative future we're crafting. 📷 Back in pictures to Lat.Bus 2024 in Brazil 🇧🇷.   During this 2024 edition, held in São Paulo from August 6 to 8, we presented for the first time in Latin America our renewed range of products and services to support energy transition in this region. We achieved a great success with over 350 orders for our Daily minibuses and chassis range to offer sustainable mobility solutions tailored to the specific needs of the Brazilian market.   "We are delighted with the results achieved at Lat.Bus. 🧨 What a show! 🧨   After several weeks travelling through Europe alongside #Metallica on their M72 World Tour, we are closing this amazing journey. In total, our buses covered: 🏙️ 3 cities 🚐 5,000 kilometres with both eDaily 🚌12,000 kilometres with our Evadys 🧑🤝🧑 150 people transported   We are proud having contributed to the band’s goal of reducing their carbon footprint one concert at a time for a sustainable show experience! 🤘 A journey that will for sure stay in our mind for a long time 🤘
