When Hurricane Helene made landfall as a Category 4 storm, the Global Empowerment Mission team was already in North Florida, assessing the hardest-hit areas before daylight. From our basecamp in Perry, Florida, we've served over 4,000 residents through drive-thru distributions, reaching Keaton Beach, Dekle Beach, Dark Island, Steinhatchee, and Sarasota. In Asheville, North Carolina, we delivered the first semi-truck of aid on Saturday, serving 2,000 residents in just four hours. Meanwhile, over 500 volunteers at our headquarters in Doral, South Florida, continued packing emergency family boxes, preparing more than 50 pallets of supplies. In honor of National Child Awareness Month, #ThrowbackThursday takes us to a special day when our team dedicated a day’s wages to support Child Rescue Coalition, Inc. We hosted a Blanket and Bear Hugs event, creating 30 care packages for children rescued from abuse. It’s a heartfelt reminder of our ongoing commitment to bringing comfort and hope. ❤️
