  • Application now open!!! Practical Vocational Training (PVT) School for Legal Practice (Attendance) Course Closing date of applications 31 October 2024 The School for Legal Practice, established by the Law Society of South Africa in 1990, is a practical law school. It offers an intensive postgraduate vocational course at one of the School’s nine residential centres situated around the country. The objective is to provide law graduates with the opportunity to acquire and develop the practical legal skills to become effective practitioners. There is a day school, night school and distance-learning school available. The full-time course takes four months to complete. LLB graduates who successfully complete the course qualify to reduce their PVT contract period by 12-months should they wish to be admitted as attorneys. https://lnkd.in/dnZ9AFja

Various closing dates (download the brochure for more info) What is the purpose of the compulsory course? After a student obtains an LLB degree, one of the main requirements for admission as an legal practitioner is two years of service under a contract of articles of clerkship and attendance of a course approved by Legal Practice Council.
