We are excited to see our 384-well Nucleofector® System in action and how it helps driving the discovery process at Recursion. #nucleofection #screening #CRISPR
How our next-generation robots allow us to manipulate and study cells. Karen Billeci, VP of High Throughput Operations, explains how one of our specialized robotic systems is helping us to streamline and automate cell perturbation, allowing us to deliver 2.2 million data-generating weekly wet lab experiments. The “Nuke01” shocks cells using nucleofection – creating an electric pulse that makes small pores in the cell membrane, allowing DNA to directly enter the nucleus. Nucleofection allows us to manipulate cells’ gene expression and study their functions at a deeper level. But it can also cause cell stress or death if not optimized properly. Our machine’s liquid handler unit prevents this cell damage, Billeci explains, by rapidly adding treatment media to the wells to help cells recover. #ai #robot #cells #lab #highthroughput #nucleofection #research #dna
