A first-of-its-kind bioeconomy startup accelerator is coming to Modesto and the Central Valley. BEAM Circular was born from the Stanislaus 2030 project and is setting up a bioeconomy ecosystem. BEAM Circular is partnering with gener8tor and venture firm HawkTower for the accelerator. In February 2024, the North San Joaquin Valley area received an AA+ rating for biomass by the BDO Zone Initiative. The BEAM Circular Accelerator will invest in groundbreaking startups driving the future of innovation in biomanufacturing and bio-enabled climate solutions. The path to investment starts today: Applications are now open for the first cohort of five groundbreaking startups. The program focuses on engaging visionary founders who reflect the diverse communities impacted by environmental challenges. Selected startups will receive $30,000 in non-dilutive funding, up to $100,000 venture capital investment, and participate in an intensive three-month program beginning in February 2025 that includes mentorship, business development coaching, investor networking, and access to the world-class agricultural resources and manufacturing expertise of California’s North San Joaquin Valley. Applications for the program close on November 17, 2024. For more information, and to apply please visit https://lnkd.in/gbPQ38Nn
