Listing military job codes in every open, hourly job description makes it simpler for veterans to identify opportunities that match their skills and experience. US Marine veteran and regional HR manager Melissa B. led this manual process and says having veterans familiar with the codes was critical to kickstart this initiative. Had a blast sharing some life lessons with the future of RR Donnelley! I've learned a ton during my journey - lots from mistakes. Each part of my career has taught me something - while at West Point and in the Army, to my years as an individual contributor, and finally as a leader. I hope some of what I shared resonated with the ADP's!! These were my parting thoughts to the group. 1. You are the boss of you. Personal accountability is a must. 2. Lead and work honorably. Do the right thing. 3. Try and then try again. Grit wins over raw intelligence. 4. Authenticity builds trust. Be yourself.
