Did you catch Samsara Vision's CEO and president Tom Ruggia in Pharmaceutical Executive? Tom's thought leadership piece titled, "How to Navigate Global Regulatory Hurdles to Successfully Launch a Medical Device," discusses the need to improve patients' quality of life through innovative medical devices. However, this can only happen if we address global regulatory challenges, Tom explains. He shares Samsara Vision's experience in securing approval and launching the SING IMT®️ in 17 E.U. countries and our work to expand availability across the globe. The device has helped 300+ patients with AMD regain their independence. Samsara Vision’s first intraocular telescope can reconnect patients with the simple tasks and activities that provide independence and bring joy. Bringing vision and freedom back to late-stage AMD patients.
About us
Samsara Vision's SING IMT is bringing vision and freedom back to late-stage AMD patients. Samsara Vision is a speciality medical device company engaged in the Research & Development, manufacturing, and marketing of proprietary implantable ophthalmic devices that are intended to significantly improve vision and quality of life for individuals with untreatable retinal disorders. Samsara Vision’s SING IMT is a CE-marked Galilean telescope implant designed to improve visual acuity and quality of life for patients with late-stage age-related macular degeneration (AMD). The design improves upon a 1st-generation miniature telescope device implanted in more than 600 patients living with late-stage AMD. SING IMT features the same ultra-precision wide-angle micro-optics optic as its predecessor with an improved haptic design to create a telephoto effect. Images are magnified 2,7x and projected onto healthy photoreceptors surrounding the macula in the back of the eye, reducing the impact of the AMD “blind spot” in central vision and allowing patients to see images that may have been unrecognizable before. Our goal is to help patients reconnect to the things in life they love to see and do. To help achieve this, we will establish a high level of collaboration with our healthcare provider customers through a broad range of direct support programs and services. Disclaimer: The SING IMT is not FDA approved. Chief Commercial Officer Jason Herod Email: singimt@samsaravision.com

ICYMI, last month Samsara Vision achieved an exciting milestone at ESCRS! We shared a near-live SING IMT®️ surgery. An engaged crowd of hundreds of ophthalmologists watched as MUDr. Pavel Stodůlka, Ph.D., FEBOS-CR performed a SING IMT®️ implant surgery. The near-live surgery gave Samsara Vision the opportunity to show cataract surgeons why they should delay cataract surgery and consider the clinical benefits of SING IMT®️ for patients with cataracts and late-stage AMD. SING IMT®️ provides a gain, on average, of 18 letters vs a traditional IOL of 2.8 letters. This milestone was an incredible way for Samsara Vision to show an impressive group of surgeons their ability to give vision and independence back to a larger number of patients. Jason Herod

A new review published in Eye gives some fresh perspective about the global prevalence of blindness as a result of AMD. According to new data, in 2020: • An estimated 1.85M people globally were blind due to AMD, which ranked as the second leading cause of permanent blindness • An estimated 6.23M people globally had MSVI as a result of AMD • High-income countries had the highest number of people with AMD-induced blindness, likely as a result of MSVI and AMD being associated with older age Luckily, there is hope for late-stage AMD patients. The SING IMT®️ helps support late-stage AMD patients in regaining their vision so they can be independent and enjoy life again. Visit our new SING IMT ‘On-Demand’ Portal with the password: SINGIMT. 🎂This year at ESCRS, the organization celebrated the 75th Anniversary of the pivotal first implantation of an intraocular lens by bringing the history of the IOL to life in an exhibit. We are thrilled that ESCRS featured Samsara Vision as part of this exhibit and the SING IMT®️ was at the forefront of the latest technologies available and a validated alternative to cataract surgery. ESCRS recognized the intraocular telescope (SING IMT®️) as a fork in the road in the treatment of patients with cataracts and late-stage AMD. The IOT is now a reality for patients suffering from cataracts and late stage AMD.
