Last Friday, we were happy to host the DocDinner Gelderland. In this small gathering, we had some great discussions on the practical use of AI in technical writing and explored training opportunities for technical writers in the Netherlands. Although it was the last DocDinner of 2024, we’re already looking forward to seeing you again in 2025. Here’s to more gatherings! 🍹

European regulation on artificial intelligence (EU 2024/1689) 🌐   📢 Important news! The Artificial Intelligence Act of the EU has been published and enters into force on August 1, 2024. This regulation lays down harmonized rules for AI systems and aims to improve the functioning of the internal market. What role does technical documentation play in this? Before “high-risk” AI systems are placed on the market or put into operation, technical documentation must be prepared for these systems. Instruction manuals are also required. 📝 Our tekom team is currently working actively with experts from four European countries on a white paper on the regulation on artificial intelligence. We look forward to sharing our knowledge and supporting the implementation of these important regulations.
