Meet Cohort 2024’s Mathematician! Bradley Vigil is a third year Ph.D. student in mathematics at TexasTech passionate about the intersection of mathematics and neuroscience. He was initially trained as a pure mathematician; however, he now finds himself traversing the realm of applied mathematics. Throughout his studies, he has developed novel topological methods to study the propagations of many natural phenomena with the hope to increase the effectiveness of mathematical models in neurodegenerative diseases. #QuadFellow #QuadbyIIE #QuadFellowship

Meet Cohort 2024’s Data Scientist! Asmita Sood will be pursuing a Master’s in Biomedical Data Science at Stanford University. She is working at the intersection of Computer Science, Biology, and Mathematics to make state-of-the-art healthcare more accessible. She is currently developing robust solutions for enterprise-level data protection at Dell EMC. Rahoul Banerjee Ghosh will be pursuing their Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley, studying theoretical physical chemistry and using it to research clean energy solutions. Rahoul is an aspiring quantum chemist from Kolkata, India, who graduated summa cum laude from the University of Washington, with a BS in Chemistry and College Honors. Meet Cohort 2024’s Materials Scientist! Pablo Vidal is pursuing Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin He graduated with a degree in mechanical engineering from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley where he researched the development of smart polymer scaffolds for effective wound treatments. He is focused on creating innovative materials for epidermal electronics that monitor physiological data. He is developing a robot capable of conformally depositing these materials directly onto the skin, forming e-tattoos that adapt to diverse anatomies, thereby expanding access to people worldwide. His passion is to democratize healthcare by providing tools that enable real-time diagnosis and treatment, ensuring broader and more immediate access to medical care. #QuadFellow #QuadbyIIE #QuadFellowship

Chantelle Pereira is pursuing a Masters in Chronic Disease Epidemiology at Yale University University Passionate about neuroscience, Chantelle is eager to research the intersection of neuroscience and endometriosis to reduce the suffering experienced in a disease that affects 1 in 7 Australians. She is excited to collaborate with global scientists and leverage science to positively impact women’s health worldwide. Gabriel Reyes is pursuing a Ph.D. in Developmental and Psychological Sciences at Stanford University as a Knight-Hennessy Scholar and Quad Fellow.
