The Unofficial Patch is a combination of the default Basic Patch which mostly fixes bugs only, and the optional Plus Patch, which is kind of a mod adding various tweaks and implementing a lot of unused content, including new quests, levels, weapons, items, characters, dialogue, graphics, models, sounds and original music! Included are also the optional Patch Extras which feature Player Mods, like shaders suites, as well as Developer Tools, like the Unofficial SDK to mod the game.

How do you install this on Linux MInt properly? All of these 'guides' that mention Linux are incomprehensible, and using Protontricks doesn't work due to not being able to find 'vampire.exe.
I don't use Linux, please ask on Planet Vampire or the Steam board.
hey im havning an issue where the game won't let me equip ranged weapons and won't let me leave third person when i enter melee combat, ive tried loading really old saves from a few days ago and those don't work either
Are you using any mods? What happens if you use the change-view key?
i'm only using the mods connected to this one, when I hit the Z key nothing happens.
Anything special about your system? Also what happens if you try to equip a ranged weapon?
im on a laptop so idk what that would do and when I try to equip a ranged weapon it makes the equipped sound but doesnt do anything. ill see if i can get a video of it

it seems to have changed my blood meter to blue and my blood heal is now "faithheal" i assume this has to do with the optional mission where you play as a vampire hunter but idk why its still there after reloading the game and my computer multiple times

Yes, to switch from hunter back to vampire you need to restart the game twice while making a new character.
