This mod adds 10 new subraces each with their own unique breath weapons based off of dragons that either are in 5e but don't have a dragonborn ancestry linked to them or dragons that aren't in 5e.

Welcome one and all to the Dragonborn Subrace Compendium!
This mod adds in 10 new subraces for Dragonborn that are all based and inspired by the Dragons of D&D's rich history and those forgotten by time. This mod adds two main sets of Dragonborn subraces, those based on Dragons that are in 5e but don't have a Dragonborn ancestry linked to them, or Dragon's that were in previous editions that didn't make the leap to 5e. Many of these Subraces have weird or unique breath weapons that will change the way you play them.


REMEMBER TO LOAD THIS MOD AFTER THE FIZBANS MOD OR ANY OTHER MODS THAT CHANGE BREATH WEAPONS.


5e Dragonborn Ancestries
These are dragonborn that are based on dragons that already exist in 5e but don't have an ancestry tied to them.

Shadow Dragonborn
Shadow Breath:
You exhale a 15ft cone or 30ft Line (You pick one at CC) of Shadow to that suffocates creatures with the essence of the Shadowfell. (Necrotic Damage)
Shadow Touched:
While in dim light or darkness, you can take the Hide action as a bonus action and you have resistance to damage that isn’t force, psychic, or radiant. (You also gain immunity from The Shadow Curse in Act 2)
Breath Weapon Empowerment:
At level 5, when you kill a Humanoid with your Breath Weapon, you now gain the ability to raise all the Humanoid corpses nearby into Shadows. They last for 1 hour.
Darkvision:
You gain 80ft of Darkvision.

Solar Dragonborn
Sol Breath:
You exhale a flashing mote of radiant energy up to 60ft away that explodes in a 10ft radius causing damage to all those around the area. (Radiant Damage)
Draconic Resistance:
You have resistance to radiant damage and advantage on saving throws to avoid being blinded.

Lunar Dragonborn
Chilling Breath:
You exhale a 15ft Cone of freezing cold breath that weighs down on those coated in the freezing substance and slows enemies if they fail their saving throw. (Cold Damage)
Draconic Resistance:
You have resistance to Cold damage.

Deep Dragonborn
Spore Breath:
You exhale a 15ft cone of spores that befuddle and strain the mind of those caught in them. (Psychic Damage)
Fear Breath:
At 5th level, you exhale a 15ft cone of spores that inflict the frightened condition on a failed save. This save can be repeated each turn until the creature breaks free of it's fear.
Draconic Resistance:
You have resistance to Poison and Psychic damage and you are immune to the Blinded condition.

Moonstone Dragonborn
Moon Breath:
You exhale a 30ft line of radiant moonlight that burns foes. (Radiant Damage)
Dream Breath:
At 5th Level, you exhale a 15ft cone of gas that puts creatures to sleep on a failed save.
Fey Immunity:
You are a Fey creature and you are immune to being Charmed.

Missing 5e Ancestry
These are Dragonborn based on those dragons that were left behind from 5e.

Pink Dragonborn
Bubble Breath:
You exhale a 15ft cone of bubbles to blind creatures within and cause the ground to become slippery.
Blind and Charm Resistance:
You have advantage on saving throws against being blinded or charmed.
Mocking Laughter:
You know the Vicious Mockery cantrip and you can cast Tasha’s Hideous Laughter once per Short Rest without spending a spell slot. Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.

Grey Dragonborn
Draining Bite:
You bite a creature, draining their life essence to heal yourself for half the damage delt. (Piercing Damage)

Yellow Dragonborn
Salt Breath:
You exhale a 15ft cone of salt chunks that bludgeons creatures in the way. (Bludgeoning Damage)
At 5th level your Breath weapon inflicts the Course Salt Condition on a failed save that impose Disadvantage on attack rolls and skill checks and at 11th level it also inflicts the Blinded condition.

Slender Senses:
You have Proficiency in the Perception skill, Movement Speed is increased by 10ft and you are immune to the Wet condition and your movement speed cannot be reduced in water.
Draconic Resistance:
You have resistance to Fire and Lightning damage.

Orange Dragonborn
Sodium Breath:
You exhale a 15ft cone of Sodium Slime that coats your foes. After two turns, the slime will set on fire and inflict the burning condition. If at any point does the creature start their turn that has the slime on them in water or have the Wet condition they will explode into fire taking much more damage. (Fire Damage)
Draconic Resistance:
You have resistance to Fire and Poison damage and you have advantage on Saving Throws against being Poisoned.

Purple Dragonborn
Plasma Breath:
You exhale a 15ft cone or 30ft line of superheated plasma that ignores fire resistance. (Fire Damage)
Plasma Spear:
At 5th level, You fire a beam of superheated plasma that ignores fire resistance and cuts through foes defences. This is an attack roll up to a range of 60ft. (Fire Damage)
Draconic Resistance:
You have resistance to Fire and Poison damage and you have advantage on Saving Throws against being Poisoned.
Darkvision:
You gain 40ft of Darkvision.


Also please bare in mind that this mod comes with two files. The first is designed to be used with 3xc4l1b3r's Fizban's Treasury of Dragons mod (Either the Gem Dragonborn or just the Breath Weapon Improvements versions will work fine) and the second is more based on how the base game handles Dragonborn Subraces and their breath weapon akin to the PHB.

The PHB Version will also be more in line with the PHB in general so most subraces will only gain their Breath weapon and resistances if they have any.
