This is my first time making or uploading a mod, so apologies if I messed up somewhere

REQUIREMENTS
5e spells is a hard requirement so please download it before you use this mod. It should be placed before this mod in your load order.
UnlockLevelCurve if you want to go past 12th level and learn 4th Level Spells
Respec after installing this mod.

PATCHES
Currently have a patch that gives you the Monk Avatar State feat for free at a certain level. It requires one of the original Monk Avatar State files and the patch should be placed below both our files.

INCOMPATIBILITIES
Anything that modifies the Four Elements Monk

List of Changes
  • All Ki costs reduced to the level of the spell. Some higher level spells were reduced in cost.
  • Spell level progression changed to match that of a half caster
  • New Spells from 5e Spells
  • Blade of Rime, Fist of Unbroken Air, Fangs of the Fire Snake, Water Whip, and Fist of Four Thunders changed into unarmed strikes. More detail below.
  • Chill of the Mountain removed
  • Touch of the Storm removed
  • Embrace of the Inferno removed - Scorching Ray is mostly redundant with the new Fangs of the Fire Snake
  • Harmony of Fire and Water can now be used during combat and improves at later levels

New Progression
3rd Level - Choose two elements to release. This grants you the associated cantrip and a new long ranged unarmed strike with a range of 30 feet. Each elemental strike can be enhanced by spending a ki point.

5th Level - 2nd Level Spells, Third elemental release

6th Level - Harmony of Fire and Water can now be used as a bonus action. You gain the advanced form of each element you have released. Lightning, Thunder, Ice, or Lava. This is retroactive.

9th Level - 3rd Level Spells, Increased damage for most 1st and 2nd level spells. Fourth elemental release.

11th level - Harmony of Fire and Water now recovers on a short rest. If you use an Elemental Strike for the last attack (ie as a flurry) it no longer costs a Ki point.

13th Level - 4th Level Spells

Elemental Strikes
Fangs of the Fire Snake (Fire) - You can spend a ki point to deal additional damage equal to two rolls of your Martial Arts die and to grant all your subsequent unarmed strikes this turn additional fire damage equal to one roll of your Martial Arts die.
Claws of the White Tiger (Lightning) - You can spend a ki point to attempt to shock the target (Con Save) and grant yourself 2 turns of Lightning charge.
Fist of Unbroken Air (Bludgeoning) - You can spend a ki point to attempt to push the creature 20 feet and knock it prone (Str Save) and daze it for 1 turn (Con Save). Ki is only spent on hit.
Fist of Four Thunders (Thunder) - You can spend a ki point to attempt to knock the creature and each creature within 10 feet away from the origin (Str save) and apply a stack of Reverberation to each creature.
Water Whip (Bludgeoning) - You can spend a ki point to attempt to pull the creature 20 feet and knock it prone (Str Save) and apply a turn of wet. Ki is only spent on hit.
Talon of the Rime Dragon (Cold)  - You can spend a ki point to slow the creature by 10 feet and apply two turns of Encrusted with Frost. Ki is only spent on hit.
Fist of the Terracotta Emperor (Bludgeoning) - You can spend a ki point to force the creature and each creature within 5 ft of it to make a Dex save or take piercing damage equal to two rolls of your Martial Arts die. Also creates grease for 2 turns in the same area.
Rage of the Boiling Earth (Fire) - You can spend a ki point to apply a turn of Molten to the creature. This reduces the creature's AC by 1 and causes it take fire damage equal to one roll of your Martial Arts die at the start of its next turn. Molten can stack.


Known Issues
  • The Tooltips show your Martial Arts die + your Dexterity Modifier so it may not be accurate to your actual unarmed strikes if you have feats and magic items that modify them. This is just an issue with the tooltip and your attacks will scale correctly.
  • Natural Pugilist from Corellon's Grace and Tavern Brawler add bonus bludgeoning damage rather than the damage type of your elements.


To Do
  • I'd like to change the 11th level feature to be some sort of Avatar State but I'm having a hard time figuring out something interesting and impactful beyond simple boosts like damage or durability. My main idea is granting the ability to cast a spell in place of an attack for Extra Attack, similar to the Bladesinger, but I'm very new to modding so I'm having a hard time figuring it out.
  • Additional passive boosts for releasing an element. Maybe a skill proficiency.
