Since the first day of this game's release, the most I've seen in the comments on various platforms is one complaint, "towards the end of the game I have 15k gold and nowhere to spend it, what's wrong with the economy?". There is truth in their words, because the economy from Larian looks a bit strange, however I am not an expert in RPG economics and maybe everything is fine. But for those who don't think everything is fine, I suggest you look into this mod.
Key Features
Compatibility & Installation Obviously, you won't activate this mod in the middle of a playthrough since you've already made too much money and ruin the economy. Obviously, you will not activate this mod together with various BetterLoot, AllLoot and etc., as they are opposite mods in meaning. Poor Adventurer replaces the vanilla gold related loot lists and also changes almost all values in GoldValues.lsx, so it is not recommended to use it with mods that do the same.
The mod is very easy to install via Vortex and BG3MM, and just as easy to uninstall at any time without any errors. All values will change in live mode, so you can install the mod at any point in the game.
Caution Obviously, the scale and randomness factors of Poor Adventurer don't allow to test fully all values - so keep in mind that you shouldn't expect perfect changes that will turn your economy into a hardcore simulator. Tests and feedback from you will tell everything, but for now the modifiers are weakened only slightly, mildly, but as I think - will quite affect the abundance of gold already even in Act 2.
Various Versions The classic thing about such mods is that they all offer different balancing parameters so that the player can choose what he likes personally. The economy system however depends on a large number of variables and is a huge tangle of one gold piece here and one gold piece there. There is no single metric that can be changed and divided into a bunch of downloadable versions, so until extensive user feedback, there will only be one version that roughly reduces your gold gain by 50%.
