7.0 update introduces the 'Bile Usher', a biomechanical war rig designed to eliminate any threats with overwhelming firepower. Become its pilot and spread horror across the Sword Coast.




Details of the flesh mech can be found in 7.0 patch notes, along with some more gif demonstrations. Below is a brief run down:

  • Mobility
  • -- Insectoid Limbs: doubles movement speed and helps navigate difficult terrain.
  • Defense
  • -- Composite Dermal: grants resistance to all damage and protects the war rig from various harmful status effects.
  • -- Lodestone Armor: only available during missile construction. When activated, negates all incoming damage below 20.
  • Utility
  • -- Biofluid Propulsion System: you can ignite stored biofluid and enable Bile Usher to fly.
  • -- Shadow of the Colossus: lift the Bile Usher into the air and move it across the sky. You can land as long as there is enough space.
  • -- Organic Sensor Module: scan an area and search for vital signs. Reveal invisible entities and debuff everyone scanned.
  • -- Missile Strike Targeting Beacon: a visualizer showing the area to be bombarded by Extermination Protocol.
  • -- [7.1] Siege Engine: disable some utility modules in exchange for empowered armament and defense modules. Increase Biofuel cost.
  • Armaments
  • -- Deliquescing Armament: Bile Usher's armaments ignore Acid and Poison resistance and immunity.
  • -- Dragon Maw: a grafted dragon head as a melee weapon.
  • -- Bile Launcher: a severed antenna with part of its tissue connected to left scapula, act as a ranged aoe weapon.
  • -- Biosynthetic Missile Silo: this is where you construct Exterminator Missiles and prepare launch process.
  • -- Emergency Expulsion: only available during missile construction. Exhaust waste gas and push away hostiles in proximity.
  • Ultimate
  • -- Extermination Protocol: only available after missile construction is finished. Fires a barrage of Exterminator Missiles in an attempt to vanquish all bio signatures in the target area.
  • Resource
  • -- Operation Costs: Bile Usher costs 2 Morph Sludge and 2 Structural Integrity to deploy, and requires 1 Biofuel per turn to operate.
  • -- Launch Code: a new class resource used exclusively by Bile Usher, required for Extermination Protocol. They are of single use and do not replenish. Only three launch codes are available in a single playthrough, so choose your moments carefully.

7.0 also introduces some quality of life changes. Fabricated weapons, armor and tools are now permanent. No longer will you wake up in the middle of the night naked trying to reach for your spear (you can still only have 1 copy of each). This change does not apply to consumables. There are also some balance changes that can be found in the patch notes.




7.2.2 update has been released. Fixed a bug with Tonic of Perfect Body's damage reduction. Slightly buffed both legendary mutagen.
7.2.1 update has been released. Fixed a small typo of Deliquescing Armament. It incorrectly stated it added Intelligence modifier to damage. This part has been moved to Siege Engine.

06/27/24: Originally 5.1 update was to be released today, but due to the amount of content and changes of this update I will need to do some extensive testing before release. So no update today. 
5.2 update has been released. This is the single biggest content update for this class to date, new items and abilities, reworks of existing stuff and fundamental mechanic changes, etc.

Note: if you already fabricated Abductor Parasite prior to 3.7, you need to fabricate it again to update its cooldown.

Overview

Scrounger class took inspirations from Biomech arts, Speculative Evolution, Horror Scifi, and such. It specializes in biological, biomechanical and chemical engineering.

As a cultist that worships Witch Machinatio, you can fabricate a wide range of unique, custom-made consumables and tools, unleash bio-engineered abominations or even modify your own genetic code. From grenades that cause hallucination to bolts that grow malicious flora on the ground, you decide how you want to torment the warzone.

No vanilla items or abilities were overwritten, every item from this mod uses its own template, and every ability has its own entry. This ensures maximum compatibility with other mods while keeping the requirement minimal.

Immersion
  • Every single ability and item comes with new flavor texts to provide maximum immersion (as a Scrounger). Customized status effects also have their own descriptions in the tooltips. Immersion is my top one priority when working on this mod. 

Class Feature
  • Spellcasting Ability: Intelligence
  • Proficient in Intelligence and Strength saving throws. Proficient in light armor and simple weapons.
  • Starting equipment: a broken Hazard Navigation Suit which has lost all its functionalities. No weapons, no potions, etc., not even a pair of shoes. Because you will be fabricating your own items and gears.
  • Weapons and consumables fabricated by you uses your spellcasting modifier. For Scroungers, it's your Intelligence.
  • Use warlock dialogue options.

Scrounger's Fabricator
  • Scrounger's Backpack: unlocks at the start, includes some basic tools and a book item called "Scrounger's Field Manual", it is highly recommended to read it as it provides some important tips to this class.
  • Basic Fabrication: unlocks at the start
  • Advanced Fabrication: unlocks at level 4
  • Superior Fabrication: unlocks at level 7
  • Legendary Fabrication: unlocks at level 10
  • Toolkit Fabrication: unlocks at level 4

Each fabrication has several sub-options to choose from. You can craft a wide range of useful items to help you tackle challenges ahead. Excluding certain tools, every consumable, weapon and armor you fabricate can be shared with your party members.

Speculative Evolution
  • Go beyond human and twist the path of evolution.
  • Motion-assist Prosthesis and all five Swarm evolutions are automatically unlocked. The rest of the evolutions are part of a selector.
  • The selector is similar to warlock's eldritch invocation, where you choose from a list what you want.

Installation (Patch 7)

Prerequisites
Installation
  • Download the required mods.
  • Download Scrounger.
  • Load ImpUI before Scrounger.
Uninstall
  • Same as before. Respec out of the class first, then uninstall.


[09/14/2024] Scrounger has been successfully ported to mod.io and now shows up in in-game mod manager. Choose either that or the nexus mod version here, don't install both.


Installation Guide (Pre Patch 7)

Prerequisites
This mod requires at least the main file of ImprovedUI ReleaseReady by Djmr. If you want to see the custom class icon (The one on the top of this page), you will also need to download the corresponding optional file under ImprovedUI. I also highly recommend using BG3ModManager by LaughingLeader to install this mod. You also need to download the Mod Fixer by figs999.

Installation
  • Download the required mods
  • Setup BG3 Mod Manager (Instruction on Github)
  • Install Mod Fixer
  • Install ImprovedUI
  • Install Scrounger
Uninstall
  • Simply delete it from your mod manager. Make sure respec into other classes first.
