About this mod

Vault-Tec Security Armors and Helmets can be customized at armor workbenches. You can choose a color, a patch, and a number.

Requirements
Permissions and credits
Changelogs
Color

Armors and Helmets can be clean, dirty, orange, or dirty orange.
The gray armor / blue helmet color is called "Vault-Tec". The orange armor and helmet color is called "Covenant".

Numbered Patch

Armors can have a Clean Patch, a Dirty Patch, or No Patch.
Armors with a Patch (clean or dirty) can display any number from 1 to 120, or No Number.
Armors with no Patch logically don't have the option to display a number.
Switching between a Clean Patch and a Dirty Patch doesn't reset the Number, but picking No Patch puts the detachable number mod item in your inventory.
The number textures are the FO3 numbers from the Creation Club Vault Suit Customization.

Instance Naming

Numbered Armors are named "Vault # Security Armor".
Armors with No Number or No Patch are named "Vault-Tec Security Armor".
Orange (clean or dirty) armors with no patch are named "Covenant Security Armor".
Clean Armors and Helmets are named "Clean", dirty ones are named "Dirty".

Recipes and Miscmod Items

Crafting the Patch itself costs nothing.
Crafting the Numbers costs 1 cloth and comes with custom miscmod items.
Crafting the Colors costs 1 oil and comes with a vanilla style miscmod item.

Other Information

Please refer to the images tab for various examples of what this mod provides.
My workbench screenshots show a clear view of the items due to using Crafting Highlight Fix.

The armors and helmets have a legendary attach point. (only useful if you use a legendary modification mod such as my own Legendary Swap with Reasonable Restrictions)
The helmets have a ballistic weave attach point.

The numbers don't appear on the preview of the crafting menu and on the inventory item preview screen, but they appear on the dropped items, which is literally the same model. If someone knows why, I would be very interested. I tried using scaled down textures but it doesn't seem to make any difference. (you won't see an issue if you're not using Crafting Highlight Fix)

Upon installing on an existing save, already spawned armors will default to the dirty 81 appearance so the guards in Vault 81 have the correct armor.
Items spawning after installing the mod will come with the correct attributes.

Requirement

Creation Club Vault Suit Customization: required for the number textures.

Compatibility

This mod may not be compatible with other mod overwriting the armor records and meshes for the Security Armor and Helmet.
This mod should be loaded after Clothes Customization and Cleanliness and can safely override it.
Vault 88 Security Armor Locker With Refill comes with a compatible version.

Installation Options

The installer comes with vanilla and CBBE options.
The CBBE armor needs to be generated with the Bodyslide files included. (VTSecurityArmor_CustomF)
