Preface

It doesn't make a whole lot of sense that in the 200 years from bomb drops to the present people struggled with surviving but didn't come up with the idea of utilizing the resources that got left behind after the war. The game features scavenger NPC but they don't seem to scavenge anything. And vendors restock their supplies from thin air.

DankRafft

This mod was made to make the game world much more desolate and removes many unneeded and/or unimmersive junk items. With a few exceptions here and there.

Overview

This mod affects the following items:
- placed moveable statics (such as ... Cars, Shopping Carts, Saw Horse, Tires, Trash Cans, etc.)
- placed furniture such as workbenches of all kind (Armor, Chemistry, Cooking, Nuka-mixer, Power Armor, Robot, Weapon Workbench)
- placed Fire Effects, Mist, Light, around armor and cooking workbenches
- placed activators, Cymbal Monkey, Eat-o-Tronic, Jukebox, Milk Vending Machine, Nuka-Cola Machine, Port-A-Diner, Radio,
Television, Water Fountain, Water Sink, etc.
- placed Wild Flora
- placed Textures such as Water Puddles

This mod does not affect:
- static objects which appear equally to moveable statics and cannot be removed so easily
- craftable workbenches in workshop menu

NOTE: Various inhabitat places both in interior and exterior world space have not been polished yet. Feel free to post any feedback.

Installation

If you install this mod into an already running playthrough changes should appear almost instantly. Removing the the plugin from your load order will have the items reappear, at least most of them, and all not directly tied to scripts. The plugins are ESL-flagged, don't count against normal ESP/ESM limit. None of them affect precombined meshes or PreVis data.

Technical Issues

- Disabled objects may reveal ambush furniture, actors
- Disabled objects may force objects to levitate for the time being or forever, e.g. Eat-O-Tronic machine will reveal the items inside which will levitate in the air, etc.

Epilogue

- Moveable statics are statics and vice versa, since both share equal model paths in the game files, some are PreCombined and cannot be removed, e.g. HalloweenDecor is both a STAT and MSTT and still appear in the game world as STAT (i will get rid of it in a future update)
- Cars, Shopping Carts, Plastic Bins, etc. all are moveable static objects
- Power Generators, FXs, etc. have not been disabled and are part of different mod projects
- New items added by other mods and not part of Vanilla FO4 and/or DLCs will not be altered and require patching
- Moveable statics may be attached to scripts and thus might not be removed mid-game or at all (so easily)
- Cars will not spawn in distance, explode, or kill player char for no reason anymore
- Remaining vehicles after installing this mod are static objects which cannot be removed without re-generating precombines etc.
