Static in-game maps of all Tamriel in high definition. Now with half resolution option.

This mod has a selection of high definition in-game maps of the entire Tamriel to reflect popular mods, in particular around Valenwood and Elsweyr. These are static maps to replace the default in-game map, and so as such they do not zoom. If you want zoom, use Dynamic Map.

All of these maps require MenuQ! But not Dynamic Map.

The reason for making these seemingly inferior maps was that in some cases Dynamic Map can cause performance issues or not function correctly. If you are not using Dynamic Map for whatever reason, you now have an alternative.

From now on updates to this mod will be on request only. It is easy enough to generate a static map from any combination of modules that I made for the Dynamic Map, but the sheer number of variants is too
great to maintain.

Please look at my Tamriel module for the Dynamic Map - anything available there can be put into a static map, both in full and half resolution. Then just leave a comment with your request, and I shall make the update.


Half Resolution: Some hardware is unable to load high resolution maps - they are just too big. If you can't get them working, try the half resolution variants.

The following map variants are included:

All Tamriel maps have Skyrim roads from TWMP Skyrim Alive. The Morrowind land layout is taken from Morroblivion. Classic Morroblivion plays out in is own worldspace, so it doesn't show on the general map. Conversions to TWMP Tamriel are supported loosely: Morroblivion in Tamriel - Solstheim needs to be moved and the map markers don't align very well with the map. No plans to update it, unless someone asks for it. TWMP Morroblivion is yet to be tested.

If you are using Dynamic Map, you might be interested in my Tamriel HD module for it that is based on the same graphics. It has options for Solstheim.

If you have a request for a particular map variant, please leave a comment and I shall look into it.

Each map variant in this mod is packed in its own archive that contains the map graphic and the corresponding ESP. The graphics all have different names, so you can download all the map variants and switch between ESPs as you need, without overwriting anything. They do not overwrite any other in-game maps that I am aware of either, but best check by clicking on "Preview file contents" on the Files tab and then verifying what you've got installed on your system.

Make sure to only have one map ESP per worldspace loaded at a time, not several!

The map must be last in the load order, or it won't show.

These are high definition maps, so they take a few seconds to load the first time upon starting the game. They load fast after that.

IMPORTANT: Make sure that Texture size is set to Large in your Oblivion settings, otherwise the maps won't show!
