WATERFLOW FIX SCRIPT

xEdit script to automatically edit old Skyrim's mods to enable Special Edition's water flow mechanics.

It's super simple to install:
1. Download it
2. Unpack archive into xEdit Install Folder\Edit Scripts

Open plugin that you want to fix in xEdit ([WATERFLOW] tag in the guide).

Right-click on that plugin and select Apply Script.

In Script drop-down menu select _fix waterflow for Oldrim mods and then click OK.

HAHA! You got bamboozled!

Load USSEP AND plugin that you want to fix. Sometimes script doesn't work properly without Unofficial Patch.

Apply script for waterflow in the same way as it is on previous pics.
If program will ask you about adding Update.esm as master - always click Yes.

Waterflow fixed! Now you can exit xEdit and save your changes.

REALISTIC WATER TWO

It's really easy to make other mods compatible with Realistic Water Two:

Rule 1 - RWT need to be as low as possible in your load order (right panel in MO2).
Rule 2 - Make sure that records from RWT in Worldspace are not overwritten by other mods.
Rule 3 - Don't use fake fixes for RWT LODs, because they doesn't work.

HOW TO MAKE A PATCH FOR RWT

Little reminder before you'll start - NEVER use waterflow script on RWT!

Open your mods in xEdit. In this example I want to patch Missing EZs.

Apply Filter to show Conflicts.

A filter has been applied. Now you can see all conflicts that you need to fix.
First and foremost, look at NAM2 - Water and NAM3 - LOD Water Type. Realistic Water Two values ALWAYS needs to overwrite changes from other mods! If they're not, simple copy these two values into your patch.

How to to this? Right-click on RealisticWaterTwo.esp and select Copy as override into.

Select esp flagged as esl and click ok. Name your patch.

Your patch have correct values! Jaay! :)

Now, time to patch other conflicts.
Look at XCWT - Water and XEZN - Encounter Zone.
Without the patch, you'll be have correct water value from RWT, but no EZ changes from MissingEZs.

Copy as override into the RealisticWaterTwo.esp.

Choose your existing RWT patch.

RWT water values are now forwarded to your patch. Now, you need to fix the Encounter Zone record. Simply drag and drop record from MissingEZs mod to your patch.

This is how it should look like.

Another example of fixed RWT conflict.

GOOD TO KNOW: ALWAYS FORWARD XCWT - WATER VALUES FROM RWT TO YOUR PATCH, EVEN IF THEY WILL REWERT WATER VALUES FROM OTHER MODS!

My RealisticWaterTwo.esp shows DefaultWater [WATR:00000018] like all the other files, for both values specified in the tutorial.

    Hi,

I'm trying to fix the waterflow on the fossil mining. In the part that mentions to add a script call fix waterflow for oldrim. I apparently can not find that. Am I doing something wrong?

    Hi,

I guess, I got you wrote, just one thing I do not understand.

(I do not use MissingEZ_AllExteriors.esp mod) Came here, mostly for the Guide.
(I got to use Water Fix Script rather)

    1.) My problem...

Another example of fixed RWT conflict.

    How, when, or why:

    XEZN - Encounter Zone changed?

    from:

    Bronze_xyz to Stony_xyz (?!)

    PS:

Always useful to check Bashed Patch a DynDOLOD.ESP file, as well.
