Lore
The Silver Werewolf is a legendary creature from the lore of the ancient Nords. Skyrim's werewolves were legendary back when the snows were still young. There was one wolf in particular that stood out for its stunning good looks. Its dark azure and white markings glistened in the light like the moonlight on freshly fallen snow. Silver Alpha, the pack leader, and his other wolves hunted tirelessly over the snowy wastes.
Hircine, Daedric Prince of the Hunt, was supposed to have bestowed his blessing on the Silver Alpha. The Silver Alpha's distinctive appearance was interpreted by his followers to represent the holiness of his mission and the sacredness of his relationship with Hircine. Seeing the Silver Alpha was like seeing the spirit of the hunt itself in motion.
The Silver Werewolf has evolved through the years into a symbol of both fear and respect. Some people were afraid of these wild animals, while others were curious in how to harness their extraordinary abilities.
