OnePlus Recruitment Privacy Policy
I. Introduction
1.1 This Recruitment Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) explains how OnePlus Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “we”; “us” “OnePlus”) collects, uses, shares, transfers and protects the personal information of the applicant (hereinafter referred to as “you”) during the recruitment for itself and for its business partners as entrusted.
1.2 OnePlus acts as a data controller or joint data controller in the aforementioned recruitment.
II. Types of Personal Information Collected by OnePlus during Recruitment
2.1 During recruitment, OnePlus will collect your personal information in accordance with the law, including but not limited to your name, gender, nationality, place of origin, identity card number, passport number, phone number, messaging service account number, e-mail, mailing address, educational background, work experience, family member information, self-evaluation, and other personal information in the resume and/or interview voluntarily submitted by the applicant.
2.2 The personal information of the applicant collected by OnePlus may vary according to the legal requirements or transnational nature of the recruitment. However, any such will be collected based on the minimisation principle.
III. Purpose and Legal Basis for OnePlus Collecting Personal Information of the Applicant
3.1 The information of the applicant collected by OnePlus is mainly used for the following purposes:
(1) Determining the applicant’s personal identity;
(2) Understanding the applicant’s educational background and work experience;
(3) Talent assessment;
(4) Assessing whether the applicant is competent for the proposed position;
(5) Contacting the applicant.
3.2 The legal basis for the processing of the applicant’s personal information by OnePlus is the necessity for the performance of a contract and/or for the protection of legitimate interests. If the applicant does not provide OnePlus with the personal information specified herein, OnePlus cannot assess whether the applicant is competent for the proposed position or make the decision to hire.
3.3 OnePlus will not use the personal information of the applicant for purposes other than those as set out above.
IV. Third-party Service Companies and Transnational Data Transfer
4.1 OnePlus usually cooperates with recruitment service providers, including releasing recruitment information through recruitment websites, searching applicant information from third-party recruitment websites, using third-party talent assessment tools, and using third-party recruitment systems to process applicant information.
4.2 If you submit application information to OnePlus via the platform of a third-party service provider, your personal information will be processed by both OnePlus and the third-party service provider. Both the privacy policies of the third-party service provider and OnePlus will be applicable.
4.3 If a business partner of OnePlus that is located outside China entrusts OnePlus with the recruitment, your personal information will be transferred to OnePlus headquarters in China; if OnePlus purchases a recruitment service in a third country, your application information will also be processed in China.
V. Processing of Personal Information after the Recruitment
5.1 If you are employed by OnePlus or any of its business partners, the personal information you submit during the recruitment will be kept as a file by OnePlus and its business partner(s);
5.2 If you are not employed by OnePlus or any of its business partners, OnePlus and its business partner will determine a legal and reasonable period of time for the destruction of your personal information.
VI. Additional Provisions on Processing of Personal Data
