The future is looking bright for Reno Gold.

He kept his relationship with Austin, a 28-year-old doctor who clearly shares Reno’s love of the gym, under wraps until now, but the pair are striking out on the road together with Boyfriends Big World, a new travel show that combines their love of travel and each other.

Reno hails, appropriately enough, from Reno, Nevada. He describes a happy life raised in a Christian home with two parents and two older sisters. He persevered through a learning disability and shined in sports and gymnastics, winning a national championship in tumbling.

Reno and Austin recently answered a few questions together via email exclusively for Out Traveler. They also shared a few of their favorite moments from their travels over the past few years.

You revealed your relationship only recently. Who is Austin? How did you meet and how long have you been dating?

Austin and I have been together since November 10, 2018. We met at an after party at the music festival EDC Orlando. It was definitely love at first sight. Austin is a 28-year-old doctor originally from Indiana. And he really likes fish…

Why did you keep it secret for so long?

Austin just graduated med school and was applying to residency programs. Unfortunately, we felt we had to keep it a secret because of the stigma surrounding sex work considering Reno’s very well known in the porn industry. It’s very political and unfortunately, there’s the chance someone may discriminate against you because of your partner's work. Austin recently got accepted into a general medicine residency, so we decided it was safe to tell the world!”

Why was now the time to make the big reveal? Who came up with the idea for your new travel show? 

We always knew we wanted to have some sort of online presence together eventually but didn’t know in what capacity. We both love to travel and the idea started with Reno coming up with an OnlyFans travel porn series to be featured on his websites renogold.com and onlyfans.com/renogold called Getting It Around The Globe. Reno had a blast with this but wished there was a way for Austin to participate in the fun. From there we decided to create a “safe for work” joint travel page that shows our real life as a traveling couple.

What can viewers of the show expect to see?

The show will present all the details of our relationship while traveling the globe. We discuss how we make it work while having clashing careers and navigating our personal relationship with Reno’s career as a porn star. We will be showing everywhere we travel, sleep, eat, and give our recommendations. We even plan to do some “mukbangs” (eating shows) of local cuisine and vlogs during activities so you can join in on the action!

How will it be different be from Rick Steves Travel?

Rick Steve is focused primarily on travel recommendations. We will include our travel recommendations as well, but our primary focus is to show details of our relationship and how we interact while on the road.

What destinations will you cover?

This year, we will be doing Tulum in Mexico, Costa Rica, Peru, Hawaii, Los Angeles, Alaska, Seattle, then NYC. That's all we have planned so far, but plan to cover more destinations. In July, Austin starts his residency program which is 1 year long. We will have to slow our travel a bit until it's over. After, we will travel for an entire year without coming home. We plan to start in Asia and continue traveling until we have completed an entire lap around the globe.

Can you tell us about The Gold Party at ManAfest in Dominican Republic that you will be hosting in November?

Yes! I’m super excited. So ManAfest (www.manafestevents.com) will be a gay festival hosted at a beautiful new resort in the Dominican Republic. Great music, hot guys, and a luxurious venue! I’ll be hosting the event and even teaching a stretching class! It’ll be an awesome experience and I can’t wait to party with my fans there!
