Samsung Galaxy 7 release date, price, specs, and must-know features
The SamsungGalaxy Watch 7 series, which consists of the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra, is now official. The two new wearables were announced on July 10, 2024 alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6foldable phones.

The Galaxy Watch 7 series is official and available for purchase. The device was officially launched on July 24.

Galaxy Watch 7 price
Samsung has kept the prices across the Galaxy Watch 7 lineup mostly unchanged in comparison with the Galaxy Watch 6 series' pricing.
The only outlier is the new Galaxy Watch Ultra, which has no previous analogue in Samsung's portfolio, and starts at $649.

The Galaxy Watch 7 is the regular Samsung wearable, which packs all the essential features and functions in a user-friendly and likeable circular design. This wearable is available in two sizes, 40mm and 44mm. You can also get it with GPS/Bluetooth-only or with LTE connectivity.
Galaxy Watch 7 design & display
In the case of the Galaxy Watch 7, we get a relatively compact, light, and minimal case design, made of aluminum. The regular Galaxy Watch 7 doesn't have a rotating bezel; instead, the bezel around the display is touch-sensitive, allowing you to swipe your finger across and navigate the interface.
If it makes sense, the Galaxy Watch 7 looks a lot more like a regular smartwatch, with a simple and easy-going design that looks classic.
On the other hand, the Galaxy Watch Ultra utilize an interesting design that essentially puts a circular display in a squircle case, which is definitely unique in the smartwatch world. It certainly looks like a mix between a regular Galaxy Watch and the Apple Watch Ultra.
Taking a page from the Apple Watch Ultra book, the Galaxy Watch Ultra has a third button in-between the regular once, which will possibly be customizable. The case is made of titanium and is watertight up to 100 meters, or 10 ATM, matching the Apple Watch Ultra 1&2. There's no rotating bezel on this model.
There's a new Quick Button positioned between the regular ones on the right-hand side of the smartwatch. It's customizable and allows you to map different features and functions for quick access. There's also an emergency siren present on the smartwatch.
What is Samsung doing with all that extra space? Thanks to the extra space, it has a large battery that will push the endurance past the three days that one can use the 590mAh-clad Galaxy Watch 5 Pro!

The Galaxy Watch Ultra and Watch 7 come with a 3nm Exynos chipset, the W1000. It's an efficient chipset and also the first 3nm to power a range of smartwatches.
What are the benefits of a 3nm chip in comparison with a 5nm one, like the chips in older Galaxy Watches? The smaller chip die introduces tons of performance and efficiency benefits, as well as a smaller chip footprint. This could help the Galaxy Watch 7 lineup score much better battery life and efficiency, always a crucial aspect on a smartwatch.
Galaxy Watch 7 hardware, features, and software
The Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra come with Google's Wear OS 5. We expect that the Galaxy Watch 7 series will feature the same roster of health-monitoring and wellness goodies that were available on the previous models, PLUS some extra ones. - Irregular heart rhythm notificationThe Galaxy Watch Ultra emphasizes fitness tracking with features like a new Multi-sport tile for complex workouts and an artificial intelligence-powered FTP measurement for cycling. Additionally, personalized HR Zone training is included, which allows users to optimize their workouts.
Over 100 workouts are available, and you can build routines by combining various exercises with the Workout Routine feature. The Race feature lets you compare your current and past performance in real time to see how far you've come.
Additionally, there is a brand-new feature that lets the Galaxy Watch Ultra (and the Galaxy Watch 7) detect signs of sleep apnea. Samsung asserts that this is possible due to integrating its AI algorithm for sleep analysis into the new 3nm Exynos W1000 chipset.
