As a counsellor I have dealt with a multitude of presentations ranging from high risk, suicidal and self harm clients to anxiety, life coaching and depression. I aim to build an authentic therapeutic relationship in order to decipher what the goals, aspirations and motivations are of a client to create what the desired path forward. I value taking the time to listen, understanding and truly comprehending what a client needs and how they want to achieve it within a solution focused mindset. I endeavour to work with all clients at their own pace in order to build self-reflective practice and create long lasting positive changes.
I currently work within an all girls High School so am sufficiently equipped to work through issues that commonly present within this space. I understand each problem is unique and so is the person facing them, and whether it is anxiety or self-harm we can take the necessary time together to figure out what is the most efficient and realistic path forward.
First and foremost I aim to actively listen, and not listen to respond. You are the expert in your own life and I understand this. It is a key motivator in how I aim to work with you. No matter how difficult or how little the problem, I walk the path of discovery with you and can help you to realign, or simply help in the healing process.
