The adolescents and adults that come and see me may have lingering questions about why they do what they do, why they feel the way they do and how to cope with a range of challenges like OCD, stress, anxiety, depression. Some wish for a more directive approach to their sessions - using the time to learn and implement coping or communication strategies. Others prefer space to explore and identify their own 'why and how' or explore whether they may be neurodivergent. My aim as a therapist is to provide a safe and comfortable space where we can do all of the above.
I have knowledge and training in the neurodiversity space (both Autism and ADHD) alongside a passion for helping members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Usually, most people will not fit one particular mould so I have a range of therapies I draw from depending on what we decide. This may include CBT, DBT, Schema, Exposure therapies or ACT.
Whether you're beginning therapy for the first time or re-joining after a hiatus, seeing a new therapist can be nerve-wracking. If you feel like I may be a good fit for you, please do not hesitate to reach out and I can guide you through the process of making your very first appointment.
