I am a clinical psychologist and psychodynamic psychotherapist who has a special interest in Self Psychology. I offer individual therapy to adults who may experience a range of difficulties such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and relationship issues. I strive to help individuals gain an in-depth understanding of themselves and their experiences with the ultimate goal of alleviation of their difficulties.
Psychodynamic therapy focuses on understanding the self and subjective experiences. The therapist and client work together to explore different aspects of the client’s experiences and try to make meaning of them and uncover the underlying basis of the difficulties.
This type of therapy is often suited to individuals who wish to feel better by means of gaining self-understanding rather than focusing on symptom relief.
