The goal of psychotherapy is similar to the goal of life, which is to live the best life possible. But life is full of change and challenges, some of which we embrace and even pursue full heartedly, some of which we are initially shocked by but are able to manage with minimal disruption to our lives. At other times such experiences can be disorienting, leaving us feeling lost, confused, hopeless, and at times unable to move forward. My therapeutic approach is informed by the philosophies of Humanistic, Analytical and Existential Psychology, which takes a holistic and expansive view on human experience with a primary emphasis on deepening understanding of oneself, increasing self insight, enhancing personal autonomy as well as the ability to create meaning and find purpose in life.
In session I provide a non-judgmental, accepting, and supportive atmosphere in which we can engage in an open and honest dialogue. We can begin exploring the issues that you are faced with so that together we can deepen your self understanding.
