The perinatal period can be one of happiness, light, excitement, and peace. However, it can also bring rise to feelings of deep fear, anger, loneliness, and loss. If this sounds familiar, please know that gratitude and grief are not mutually exclusive, and that you are not alone. Honouring our wounds is not a betrayal of our joy, and learning to tenderly hold both without judgment can be one of the most beautiful albeit challenging parts of our human experience – not at all unlike Motherhood generally.
If you are new to therapy, rest assured that there is no "wrong way" to get started. Come as you are, and that is enough. Together we will explore what it means to be curious and how it feels to be vulnerable, creating safety and calling on compassion as we go. Through this process we build confidence and courage, and lay a strong foundation for healing.
It is my goal to support folks through a variety of challenges associated with this monumental life transition. I specialize in the areas of pregnancy, infertility, perinatal greif and loss, birth trauma, PPD and PPA. At this time, I am offering services virtually in an effort to ensure that your time, convenience, and comfort are prioritized.
