I’m also experienced in the management of substance use disorders and relapse prevention plans as well as counselling young adults, mid-lifers and elderly clients who are adapting to major life transitions (including end-of-life decision-making).
I have a strong background in Philosophy and Neuroscience that supplements my social work practice, and I use evidence-based counselling techniques and treatment plans. Treatment modalities consist of Cognitive Behavioural Therapies, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Existential/Humanistic Therapy and Trauma-Informed Care.
