I strive to support clients in meeting their goals, building upon their coping skills, and processing their trauma in a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space. Through trauma-informed, person-centered practice, our sessions would put you in the driver’s seat of your own journey to healing and growth. My integrative framework is adapted to suit the needs and presenting issues of each client I meet with, in order to support you with an approach that works best for you and your specific goals, presenting issues, and needs. It is important to me that you feel supported in a way that is significant to you.
My approach to therapy is an integrative framework comprising of Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Dialectic Behavioural Therapy styles and techniques. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and would be happy to explore this as an option for your therapeutic journey.
It is important to my practice that trauma be defined in a way that is meaningful to my clients, rather than labelled or defined by a textbook. No matter the traumatic event, the impact can alter core beliefs and how we interact with ourselves and the world. My goal is to support you in your journey of understanding this shift, and growing from the impact.
