Dr. Kyte works with older adolescents (ages 18+) and adults, helping individuals with a broad range of mental health concerns, including but not limited to challenges with mood disorders (e.g., depression and bipolar), anxiety disorders (e.g., panic attacks, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, and specific phobias), trauma-related disorders (e.g., posttraumatic stress and acute stress), and obsessive compulsive-related disorders. Currently, in-person and telehealth options are available.
Dr. Kyte is committed to evidence-based practice considering the individual and whole person. Example treatment approaches include CBT, ACT, ERP, PE, CPT, EMDR, UP, as well as attachment/relational-based therapies and DBT-informed strategies. Dr. Kyte maintains a developmental, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive lens with her clinical work.
Dr. Kyte completed Masters degrees in Mental Health Counselling and Clinical Psychology, along with a PhD in Clinical Psychology at Suffolk University in Boston, MA. Her pre-doctoral residency was completed in Clinical Psychology with Nova Scotia Health (NSH) Western Zone/Valley Regional Hospital.
