Hello, my name is Julie and welcome to my profile. I am a registered social worker with a Master of Social Work degree and over 17 years of experience working in the mental health field. This includes the women's correctional system, hospital mental health, community mental health and primary health care. Within the past 10 years as counsellor, I have extensive experience working with individuals in the areas of: anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, trauma, self-worth concerns, situational stressors and life transitions.
My expertise is in providing evidence-based psychotherapy which includes: Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational-Interviewing, Strengths-Based, Self-Compassion, Solution-Focused and Trauma-Informed practice.
