Welcoming a new baby can be both rewarding and challenging, no matter how experienced you are as a parent. If you are feeling overwhelmed, sad, or just not yourself, you may be experiencing the effects of post-partum mood disorder (depression, anxiety, OCD, etc.). Many individuals suffer in silence, worried that their issues are not big enough. As a mother of three, I know we can all use a bit more help and support at times (and a lot more self compassion!). With specialized training in perinatal mental health and birth trauma, as well as grief and loss, my role is to help you through this journey.
I primarily draw from therapeutic techniques found in ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), Relational-Cultural Therapy, as well as CBT, EFT, IFS and the Gottman Method, and will work with you to see what techniques fit you best.
To ensure my services are accessible across Ontario, I offer virtual therapy for couples, mothers, fathers and caregivers throughout the perinatal and post-partum period. If you would like to discuss further, please feel free to send me a note and we can book a free 15-minute Meet & Greet.
