Hello, my name is Melissa. I am a Qualifying Registered Psychotherapist and I’m passionate about helping those experiencing anxiety, trauma, relationship concerns, low self-esteem, women's issues, immigrant stress, and other challenges. I assist by helping you to identify a sense of purpose, build coping skills, improve communication, set boundaries, and explore your feelings while connecting more deeply with yourself and others. I help make sense of what you feel, want, and need in your relationships, career, and community to help define and move toward preferred goals while changing unhelpful behavioral and thought patters.
I practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, the gold standard treatment for many psychological issues as well as Psychodynamic/Psychoanalytical techniques. I further use a trauma-informed and strength-based lens, and together we will gently discover the roots of thought patterns, emotions, behaviors, and environments to propel you towards desired life outcomes.
