Accepting NEW clients online or In person- Whether you are seeking counselling for the first time or returning for new support, it can be difficult to reach out. I work with clients who may be feeling “stuck” or “not like themselves” and wanting to work through why this might be. It could be related to relationships, mental health such as depression or anxiety, lack of confidence or self-esteem, work conflict, high self-expectations or any other number of life stressors. You are the expert in your life and use a collaborative approach to ensure you feel supported in session and empowered to use the tools provided out of session.

Therapy can be a transformative process that provides one's life with a sense of fullness, meaning and personal freedom. There are many reasons to go into therapy. There may be a sense of emptiness, not fitting in, a lack of self-worth, a history of vague anxiety or depression, unsatisfying relationships, or a feeling that something’s wrong or missing but not knowing what that might be. Therapy provides an opportunity to slow down in a supportive and non-judgmental environment. By slowing down, it allows parts of ourselves that may have been shamed, ignored or hidden (parts that are often hurting the most) to be seen and cared for.

Are you looking for practical and empathetic help for depression, panic, social anxiety, post-traumatic stress, or OCD? I specialize in the treatment of these issues using cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), a highly effective evidence-based approach. However, I don't just focus on therapy technique: having a solid relationship and a trusting working alliance with any therapist is key to productive change. In addition to therapy, I conduct diagnostic, personality, and career assessments. I confidentially counsel clients all over BC online and in-person at my Port Moody office.
