It is my pleasure to provide therapy, counselling in the Ottawa region and have for 20 + years. I originate from a small central Ontario community and since coming to Ottawa for graduate work have not strayed. I have a lovely spouse and two amazing daughters 18 and 13. I must say I have changed as a therapist after becoming a parent. My personal and professional interests lend currently towards emotions and the interplay with secure/insecure attachment with its impact on mood. As a therapist I am current in Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectic Behavioral, attachment and Emotion Focused Therapy among others. Wait Time 4 to 6 Weeks.
Issues that we can address: *Problems with mood or anxiety *Coping and interpersonal conflict *Unstable emotions anxiety, Anger management *Marital satisfaction, conflict, *Healthy parenting, managing challenges *Problem drinking, drug use, addiction is not your fault, it is however, your responsibility. As I noted earlier I really do enjoy being a therapist, and candidly speaking, feel that therapy, or surfing the couch should be fun. Importantly however, work is going to be done, goals will be clear, and change or improvement in mood and function will take place.
