I am an experienced and compassionate Clinical Psychologist dedicated to supporting people through times of challenge and emotional distress. Through our work together, we will reflect on your experiences to create an understanding of your difficulties that is informed by psychological theory. This understanding, along with clarification of your goals for therapy, will then guide your psychological therapy plan. My aim is always to provide you with the knowledge and skills to reach a point where you no longer need me!
I have over ten years' experience as a Clinical Psychologist working with children, young people and adults. I have worked in NHS services such as Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and Paediatric Clinical Psychology alongside my private practice.
I use a range of psychological therapy models depending on individual need, for example, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT). I also provide Expert Witness assessments and reports on request.
