Hello, I'm Deirdre, a professional, experienced, friendly and down-to-earth therapist in Newtownabbey Belfast. I help people to manage difficulties they are experiencing and to bring about change in a warm, compassionate and safe way without judgement. Do you need help with very treatable issues such as anxiety, depression, stress, trauma/PTSD, bereavement or loss, emotional or sexual abuse, childhood or workplace bullying, childhood/family issues or anger? I use a very person centred counselling approach combined with CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy - if we change our thinking we can change how we feel and behave ) and/or EMDR (highly effective trauma therapy). I work from a private and comfortable setting.
I believe that when we are truly heard, understood and accepted, we can begin to free ourselves from and transform our pain, enabling us to live the life we often yearn for.
