It’s taken me a long time to write this because I desperately wanted my bio to communicate my heart for counseling, people, and the work that I do, but I also feel that words fall short when you’re trying to communicate something so intimate. First of all, you are brave for taking a step toward deeper healing, and I am honored that you might consider me as a support alongside you in your journey. Whether this is your first time seeking counseling or your 10th time, I hope to encourage and help empower you in your fight to become who you want to be. Knowing that the therapeutic relationship is built on trust, hope, and care, I create an environment in which people can be themselves. My approach is holistic, acknowledging the interaction of mind, body and spirit in the healing process. I invite people to look at both how they have been hurt and what they have done with their pain. At core, I view counseling as a healing relationship that helps people grow in their capacity to love others and to love themselves.

I hold an MA in Educational Psychology specializing in Mental Health Counseling, and am licensed as an LPC, MHSP in Tennessee. I am also an Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) for those taking a path toward LPC, MHSP. There are many different therapies, just as there are many different types of individual issues. Therefore, I work with many; however, I believe CBT, DBT, person-centered, and compassion-focused therapies are particularly helpful, especially for those struggling with grief, trauma, behavioral, and long-unaddressed issues.
