LaToya Harley is a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. . She received her Master of Science in Nursing in Psychiatry at the University of South Alabama. She has worked in medical, psychiatric, and community health settings. She has also worked in the field, specifically in ADHD. LaToya has witnessed others struggling with the burden of mental illness and felt compelled to make a difference. She is most passionate about destigmatizing mental illness and helping patients improve their quality of life.

I am a Board Certified Psychiatrist run a private practice called Max Psychiatry, conveniently located in Apex, NC. I have been practicing psychiatry from over 10 years in Cary, Apex, Durham, Raleigh Holly Springs, Wake Forest area of NC. I believe in comprehensive treatment plan with an appropriate blend of psychotherapy and medication management. My specialties include treatment of symptoms such as depression, ADHD, anxiety, family conflicts, stress management, women issues, trauma/PTSD, sleep disorders, eating disorders, Schizophrenia, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and psychosis.

Her integrative approach to treatment allows her to deliver care that is holistic and patient-centered. She has over 18+ years in the nursing field and has a special interest in treating bipolar disorders in addition to depression, anxiety, and PTSD symptoms. She works closely with her clients during their treatment and provides plans tailored to fit their needs.

Shameka Logan-Johnson, RN, BSN, MSN, PMHNP-BC is an undergraduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and a Post Graduate of Walden University where she earned a degree as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She is nationally certified through the American Nurse Credentialing Center of Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Shameka brings experience in various mental health settings to include treating the mental health population in corrections, inpatient and outpatient settings.

I am currently accepting patients that are pregnant or postpartum or by direct referral from a therapist or provider. I understand that changes occurring during a woman's life can affect her ability to cope and heal. I provide compassionate care and medication management. I am passionate about helping mothers through changes that occur during and after pregnancy that are so often minimized in health care settings. My goal is to help mothers to feel supported throughout their pregnancy and birth, empowered with the knowledge of their body and respected in their choices of care.

Dr. Gergory Helton is fascinated by the mind. He wants his patients to understand themselves to help relieve their suffering. Dr. Helton helps patients suffering from psychosis with long-acting injectables.

I remain committed to promoting mental health awareness and combating the stigma associated with psychiatric disorders. Through community outreach and education, I aspire to contribute to a more inclusive and empathetic understanding of mental health. With a blend of compassion and expertise, I am eager to facilitate meaningful improvements in the lives of my patients, paving the way for a brighter, healthier future for all.

Byeolah Henson PA-C, graduated with a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from University of South Florida. Prior to PA school, she received a B.S in Biology from the University of Florida. Byeolah is experienced in treating patients with a variety of behavioral health issues, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD, substance abuse, and more. She is fluent in English and Korean, both of which play a important role in her day to day clinical work.

I have been practicing psychiatric medicine for over 14 years. It is a privilege for me to serve and help patients who are struggling with mental, emotional, behavioral disorders and addictions. I pride myself in holding a safe space for patients to be vulnerable -at varying degrees that are comfortable for them. I offer medication management to help patients quiet their symptoms so that they can heal deeply and/or make the changes they need to make in order to live a productive, joyful life of their choosing. As a former science teacher and yoga instructor - one of my strengths is patient education. I enjoy explaining disease processes to patients and educating them about how medications function to help manage their symptoms. I utilize a whole-person approach to incorporate medication management and holistic wellness.
