She has over 10 years of nursing experience in psychiatry treating patients across the life span. Ms. Jennifer Sims is a Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who has over 25 years of experience in psychiatry and in a variety of settings including inpatient, academics, and outpatient. Ms. Sims received her Master’s in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Indiana University. She is also a Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist and has an MBA. Her clinical passion is Patient-Centered Care and working in collaboration with Clients to assist them with their mental health well-being. She treats a variety of psychiatric disorders to include, depression, anxiety, and mood disorders.

Dr. Yaple earned his medical degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 2003. He then moved to Richmond, Virginia where he completed his internship and residency in General Psychiatry at the Virginia Commonwealth University Health System, and then went on to complete his fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in 2008 through VCU at the Virginia Treatment Center for Children.

Mariah is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). Mariah began her career as an RN working in the Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit. She quickly became very interested in neuroscience and involved herself in research projects. The intrigue of neuroscience and the passion for connection with patients as a bedside RN led Mariah to pursue a career as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Maria gained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at James Madison University in 2016. She has experience working at the bedside in various settings in the metropolitan D.C. area over the last 6 years.

Adam is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner specializing in psychological trauma, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, and addiction issues. He has more than 25 years of experience in mental health, as a psychotherapist with a Cognitive Behavioral approach and as a nurse practitioner. He has helped people from all walks of life, all sorts of life experiences, from the coasts of Washington State to hills of Tennessee and Virginia; urban and rural. He believes our pasts do not dictate our futures; and through a combination of psychotherapy and psychopharmacology, we are all capable of change and creating a better life.

Natalie works with adults ages 18-65 with difficulties such as anxiety, depression, and OCD and other mental health concerns. She likes to work closely with her clients to develop the best plan of care to suit their individual needs. Natalie received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Liberty University and completed her Master of Science in Nursing through Walden University. Natalie is a native of the Richmond area. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. In her spare time she also enjoys fitness, reading, and working with her Labrador Retriever, Remi.
