Welcome! My name is April and I am a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. With over 18 years of experience in the nursing field, I am here to help clients of all walks of life. I frequently work with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, BPAD, AUD, insomnia, PTSD, panic disorder, and other mood disorders. I am passionate about providing compassionate, patient-focused mental health care making sure that everyone feels heard, valued, and respected.

As a nurse for over 20 years, I have often noted that the source of many of the physical complaints noted for ER visits (i.e., chest pain, abdominal pain, and headaches) were related to emotional distress, anxiety, grieving processes, and depression. No matter the age. By being authentic, empathetic, and taking the time to listen, I was able to help clients identify a major source of their "dis-ease." Engaging in a therapeutic conversation helped them and can help you too.

I help individuals who are experiencing challenging life transitions, acute or chronic anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar, insomnia and chemical dependency issues. Soon, I will offer Ketamine and Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy. I work with clients during their times of wellness in order to create a more balanced, mindful and body-centered consciousness. I have considerable experience working with individuals who are reconsidering their relationship to alcohol and other substances.

I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and see patients between ages 8 through 65. My husband and I have 5 children and 11 grandchildren.

I have over a decade of experience working with diverse patient populations in psychiatry and mental health across the human lifespan. I have extensively worked in acute care settings over the years managing and prescribing medications while dealing with challenging behavioral cases such as Bipolar disorder, depression, psychosis, eating disorders, schizophrenia, substance abuse, anxiety and ADHD among others.

He takes a holistic, evidence-based approach in his practice, believing that medications are not always the answer, or at least the whole answer, and often chooses to recommend therapy, dietary changes, exercise, and lifestyle modification when indicated.

Dr. Parry is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC), with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP). She is passionate about providing quality, compassionate, and comprehensive mental health services to adolescents and adults. She maintains a comprehensive focus to care, including brief psychotherapy and prescribing mental health medications if indicated for adolescents and adults. She possesses strong clinical skills enhanced by natural ability to build rapport with patients and families.

I view these pivotal moments as potential moments of alchemy, if we are willing to be mindful with what is, staying with our experience and working through it. That's why I decided to further my education and become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to help fill the growing gap in mental healthcare.
