I am honored to be working with Wright Counseling Group here in Oxford. I have spent the past 22 years as a school counselor helping teenagers and elementary students, families, and staff. Counseling is my greatest joy and passion. I look forward to working with both adults and children in the therapeutic setting. I specialize in building resiliency, anxiety, depression, grief, anger management, relationship issues, and many other needs that clients bring to session. I am person centered, tailoring my work to prescriptively meet the needs of my clients. I incorporate mindfulness, art therapy, CBT, Gestalt, and attachment theory.
I am currently completing the study of play therapy with the University of Mississippi where I began utilizing non directive, child centered methods. I am currently studying emotion focused therapy, which supports the work of couples and individuals in relationships. I have extensive experience working with adolescents and their parents and children age 6-9.
