I find the best-suited therapy to meet your unique needs, drawing on a mix of tools---cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, and insight-oriented techniques, as well as stress management and mindfulness.
Imagine feeling peace-even in the face of life's challenges. Anxiety and depression. Relationship problems with partners, family members, or others. Divorce, death, and other tragedies. Imagine knowing you have the emotional awareness and the skills you need to deal with whatever life brings you. The wherewithal to meet challenges, to achieve better outcomes, and - ultimately - to heal the wounds that can make peace seem elusive or fleeting. The choice to seek therapy is itself a big step toward healing. My role is to help guide you as you move through self-discovery, to self-awareness, to self-direction.

Im very easy going and many have said I dont come off as a therapist.
Hello my name is Faauuga Moliga-Puletasi and I specialize in treating trauma and anxiety in adults. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and my approach to therapy is to build a trusting relationship that helps us dive into difficult parts of your life that has weighed heavily on you. I then help you address your trauma and anxiety symptoms so that you can live a peaceful and happy life. I work with adults who have undergone traumas experienced through family upbringing or their living environment. These traumas can have caused one to become very anxious or afraid to socialize, low self esteem, or just loss of hope in one self.

Guess what? There is nothing wrong with you! Many people come to therapy because they don’t like aspects of themselves. And that makes sense! It’s very normal that when we are hurting, we can feel like we are the problem. The thing is, most of our “problems” (i.e. the disconnection from our emotions and our bodies, the depression/anxiety, the addictions and compulsions, the relationship struggles) all originate as adaptations to difficult life experiences, to relational wounding and betrayals. They are not wrong; they came about as sources of protection.

Trust, safety and relating on a hu man to hu man level are vital to the work we do together.
Now accepting clients -EMDR/Brainspotting trained- Did something happen to you that you can't bounce back from? Give me a call or text directly at 530-636-0789. I'll respond as soon as I can! Emotional wounds can run deeper than anything that bleeds and it all adds up - exhaustion, fear, feelings of inadequacy. These issues can turn our lives upside down where we don't feel like ourselves anymore (rude). How do I know? I've also been through depression, anxiety and ADHD. Thankfully, it's not a life sentence and through our therapy together you can feel alive again and become the person you aspire to be.

In our lives we experience painful feelings, and at times we may feel off-balance and lost. You may find that this is a time of more acute emotional suffering and that your existing coping strategies are not holding you. I offer compassionate support and tools to help you identify both immediate and sustaining antidotes to your current struggle. I use a holistic approach to helping my clients, which may include a combination of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Buddhist-oriented psychology and mindfulness approaches, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, emotion regulation, motivational interviewing, and communication skills training.
