Christina has and continues to enjoy working with a diverse array of clients, including chronic and/or terminal illness, the LGBTQA+ community, grief & loss, BIPOC, mood disorders, co-morbid mental illness, trauma survivors, substance abuse, adjudicated youth and adults in corrections, and children and adults with IDD needs. Christina uses techniques from person-centered humanism, MI, DBT, CBT, community-based support, psychodynamic theory, family-centered approach, motivational interviewing and therapeutic phenomenology.
In combination with traditional talk therapy methods, Christina offers a unique approach to counseling through music if this interests clients. This could include songwriting, improvisation, drumming, adaptive music lessons, music for ADL care, reminiscence, guided relaxation, guided mandala experiences and vocal work.
Christina's goal is to empower, validate and strengthen relationships between the intrinsic self and extrinsic world. The creative arts, particularly music, have a universal and holistic way of healing. Using a variety of methods, Christina invites grace and understanding to hold clients in musical healing space if they desire.
