Hello! My name is Erin Beverly Foerster and I am a licensed clinical social worker. I specialize in treating adjustment disorders, depression, anxiety, PTSD and trauma. Some of the people with whom I have worked are looking to make a specific change and are looking for support, others are struggling with challenging symptoms and are looking for relief, others are having difficulties managing emotions or maintaining relationships. I find the variety interesting and enjoy the challenge of helping people consider making a change, explore a new path, combat debilitating symptoms.
In addition to specializing in treating adjustment disorders, depression, and anxiety, I specialize in trauma-focused therapy. I work with people who have experienced childhood trauma, sexual trauma, other adult trauma, combat trauma, other military trauma. I am trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.
I feel strongly that in order to help a person, the person must feel comfortable, truly heard, understood, and valued. My goal is to develop trust so that you can open up and we can get to the heart of your concerns.
