I believe in the power of therapy and the changes that can occur within each session. The most beautiful parts of therapy work are when both the client and therapist can be open, honest, and vulnerable with their struggles, observations, and successes. I seek to provide a supportive environment that can nurture vulnerability and true progress. By using mindfulness and grounding techniques, self-awareness can occur in order not to just live, but to thrive.
I have worked with a wide variety of populations, including those in college, at risk youth, and adults. I treat eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, and exercise compulsion. I have been providing therapy for over 10 years and value the connection that occurs within individual and group sessions.
Focusing on what has "gone right" in a person's life is a motivation for change, rather than focusing on what has "gone wrong." By using mindfulness and grounding techniques, self-awareness can occur in order not to just live, but to thrive.
