My name is Jill Pederson and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Orange County, California and work with clients statewide via telehealth. I work with adolescents and young adults and specialize in anxiety, stress, depression, and behavioral issues such as defiance and difficulty managing anger. I use a variety of clinical approaches, based on the needs of my client; although I do find that Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is often a very effective approach in helping clients meet their goals.
In my experience, my style and approach is a good fit for teens and young adults who may be dealing with the challenges of forming their identity, life transitions, social and societal pressures while also dealing with past traumas and/or difficult relationship dynamics in their lives.
The focus is on beginning to establish rapport and connection, which is ultimately one of the primary factors in determining your progress in treatment. We will discuss the therapeutic process so you have a good understanding of what to expect during our time together.
